The Village Hall

Dingley Village Hall is situated up the drive at the end of the thatched cottages in Church Lane. It is a brown and white building that can be seen from the lane. The Village Hall provides a social focus for village events and meetings and consists internally of a refurbished and well provisioned communal area, with a fitted kitchen and toilets. The Hall is supplied with 50 comfortable chairs and tables that can be fitted to suite a wide range of needs. Events and meetings are held there every month. Originally the basket maker's shed for the Dingley Hall Estate, the Village hall is a corrugated iron clad, one storey building that has served the village for decades.

Events are posted on the Web Site diary and are held throughout the year. In addition to the web site, a regular newsletter (The Village Pump) is posted through every door in the village, announcing forthcoming events and other matter of interest.

The Village Hall is managed by the Village Hall Committee (see link on the left) who meet every 2nd Wednesday of the month in the Village Hall. The Committee's objectives are to maintain the fabric of the building and to enhance the facilities and amenities for the benefit of the community. Finances are raised by various events throughout the year and special fund raising events held bi-annually.
